SAVI-LIN from SAVI adopts linear dry-running technology based on sliding rather than rolling principles. Each steel ball of ball linear bearings generates high stress during cyclic rolling, which is the main cause of low load capacity and high noise. SAVI-LIN uses high-performance engineering plastics as sliding elements. It can operate without external oil or grease, featuring high load capacity, shock absorption, dust resistance, corrosion resistance, quiet operation and long service life. It can replace recirculating ball linear bearings in almost all application fields.
The sliding liner is made of self-lubricating high-performance SAVI-EP plastic material. It is maintenance-free, lightweight and wear-resistant. Bearing housing options include hard anodized aluminum or all-plastic construction.
Since no additional lubricant is required, little dirt accumulates on the bearing surface. The specially grooved structure of the sliding liner further reduces the impact of sand and contaminants and extends bearing service life.
The bearing housing shares identical dimensions with conventional recirculating ball bearing systems, enabling direct 1:1 replacement. The sliding liner, pre-installed inside the housing, is manufactured from self-lubricating high-performance SAVI-EP plastic, offering wear resistance and maintenance-free operation.
Bearings are available in short and long versions for different load capacities. Closed and open types are offered to suit various mounting conditions.
