POM and PA materials feature good mechanical strength and wear resistance, and are suitable for manufacturing relatively precision plastic bearings. Their operating temperature ranges from ‑60°C to 100°C. High and smooth surface strength virtually eliminates tensile stress. Thanks to favorable self‑lubricating performance and low friction coefficient, these materials retain the traditional advantages of plastic bearings and can be used for precision and relatively high‑speed operations. Among plastic bearings, POM plastic bearings have the widest range of applications. Typically, inner and outer rings are made of POM or PA, while the cage is made of glass‑fiber‑reinforced Nylon 66 (GR‑PA66‑25). Balls are available in glass, stainless‑steel or ceramic. These bearings are suitable for food‑contact applications and perform well under alkaline conditions, yet they are not suitable for service in acidic corrosion environments or strong oxidizing atmospheres.
