SAV standard trapezoidal lead screws are manufactured in accordance with DIN103. High-helix lead screws adopt a special thread angle design to achieve high travel speed at low rotational speed. The screws are made of stainless steel and produced by cold rolling process. They are designed to work with EPJ high wear-resistant materials. For higher loads or special applications, EPW can be used for nuts.
SAVI high-helix lead screws and nuts feature a relatively flat thread angle. Driving force is efficiently converted into translational motion, resulting in lower power loss compared with standard trapezoidal thread angles. Thanks to the round tooth geometry, noise and vibration are reduced during lubrication-free motion.
Radial loads or torque applied on the nut may cause overload on individual contact surfaces, which will seriously shorten the service life of the lead screw assembly. Therefore, proper screw installation and compliance with all relevant form and position tolerances are essential.
Please note that changes may occur not only when the maximum rated load is reached, but also due to thermal expansion during operation. We recommend conducting specific tests to verify the feasibility of lead screw and nut assemblies for low or high temperature applications.
