Mechanical Properties:
The allowable static load of EPM type clamp bearing at ambient temperature is 20 MPa. Due to possible large tolerances in the base hole, the clamp bearing features high compressive strength even in stamped holes.
Shock absorption and resistance to edge pressure become particularly important when the bearing surface area is very small.
Clamp bearings deliver excellent wear resistance for low-speed rotary, oscillating and linear motions.
Installation Design:
MCB bearings have flanges on both ends. Press-fit from the side with the smaller flange during installation. After assembly, both sides of the bearing can be securely clamped onto thin metal sheets. This type of clamp bearing is equipped with an inclined slot, enabling one-sided installation.
After installation, the bearing expands and forms a bushing fitted onto the hole of the metal plate. A properly mated shaft prevents the clamp bearing from detaching from the base. The bearing will not slip out of the base even under linear motion.
