Silicon carbide (SiC) is an inorganic non-corrosive material with excellent properties such as high hardness, strong wear resistance, low thermal expansion coefficient, high thermal conductivity, and chemical corrosion resistance. Compared with zirconia (ZrO2) bearing materials, it can be used in more harsh corrosive environments. The silicon nitride bearings produced by SAVI are made of a new generation of isobaric sintered silicon nitride (SSIC), which is pressed with high-purity micropowder and additives. The isobaric sintering process is used to sinter high-purity, high-density, free silicon-free SiC at high temperatures. The hardness, strength, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, impact resistance and other properties of isobaric sintered SiC are superior to other engineering ceramics such as zirconia, reaction sintered silicon carbide, etc. Silicon carbide full ceramic bearing rings and rolling elements are made of isobaric sintered silicon carbide (SSIC) ceramic material, and the retainer uses PTFE as standard configuration.
